This MATLAB function library (toolkit) (compatible with MATLAB 7.x (R2007b+ tested)) targets research in computational methods for analysis of biospectroscopy data. Several object "classes" exist (implemented as structures), including a dataset class with a large number of manipulation and visualization possibilities; pattern classification model classes; and a feature selection class. Implementation is modular to facilitate expansion. There exists a interface to an external MySQL database from where data is read (database software under revision to be published in the near future).
This webpage is dedicated to making available a MATLAB graphical user interface for biomarker identification analysis called bmtool. bmtool is a frontend for several resources of the function library and part of the function library itself.
