MSc Contamination, Risk Assessment and Remediation

Masters Courses

Chemical contamination is a world-wide problem and represents a significant threat to the environment, to ecosystem functioning, and to human health and our society as a whole. This specialist Masters programme covers many aspects of risk assessment and remediation and is supported by a strong research base providing highly contemporary material.

Teaching and research links with key agencies involved in studying and controlling this threat as well as to leading academic material. Case studies are used extensively to illustrate the application of the taught material and specifically include detailed investigations into the risk assessment and remediation of contaminated land sites.

You will gain the scientific, analytical and communication skills required to prepare you for remediation work with local authority and industry, with the Environment Agency, or in consultancy.
